 Description :
topo_guide_le_ternois__pied.jpgOver 200 kilometres of walking and hiking trails approved by the French Hiking Federation (Fédération Française de Randonnée Pédestre).

The Pays du Ternois is easily accessible and has a wonderful geographic location at the junction between the regions of Arras, Bethune, Côte d'Opale and Saint Omer.
As interesting for its fauna as its flora, Pays du Ternois is also the land of springs. It offers visitors a wide range of interesting landscapes, woodlands and valleys, criss-crossed by rivers and streams. The Authie, the Canche, the Clarence, the Lys and the Ternoise rivers constitute a genuine reservoir of water
for walkers and anglers to enjoy. The area is proud of its illustrious past and contains a remarkable range of sites of cultural and historic interest.
Castles, manors, mills, old farmhouses and traditional houses are dotted through the ever-changing countryside. The Pays du Ternois has always been a thoroughfair for travellers and has conserved the sense of hospitality  and openness in a region of strong local traditions.
The Auxilois, Pernois, Frévent region, Saint-Polois and Vertes Collines  Communities of Communes are brought together by a single desire: to bring to life the Ternois area. Working with the Canche-Ternoise Community of Communes (the neighbouring territory) they warmly invite you to take part in a nature walk to get to know the region better.
For a day, a weekend or a week, …come and explore the astonishing green landscape. You can combine  the pleasures of a walk or hike with some gourmet delights or cultural and sporting activities.
Have a really enjoyable stay and hike in Pays du Ternois!"
